| Purpose: Setup and maintain
the System Inventory Catalog File. |
| |
| Maintenance: Very little
maintenance required once it's setup for the 1st time. |
| |
| General
Reference: The Catalog System is a very important part of ProFrame,
it's the heartbeat of this system. When ProFrame was originally designed,
this Catalog system was the foundation. It allows you to control pricing
and discounting on a global bases as well as individual customer accounts.
It's use for reporting, placing items on sale and updating an optional
online website order system, among other things. It's based on a Two Level
Catalog, the 1st level is the main group, the 2nd level is the
sub-category. The Vendor plays an important part as well. Each item is
assigned to a Vendor and a Catalog. You could say it's a Three level
catalog system. To help you understand how it works please see sample
screen shots below before setting up your catalog system. |

custom discounting for each customer. In this example: if this

off chops over 25, 8% on Length of 150 feet or more.. etc... |
