Install Updates Guide

 
Downloading Updates

  • From within ProFrame, select Help/Product Version and record current version.

  • Go to http://www.easybee.net/proframe and select the Support link.

  • From the Support Home page select the Login button.

  • At the User Login page, login as proframe unless otherwise stated.

  • After selecting Login, select the Enter Download Page button. (if you don't see this button try logging in again)

  • At the Download Page, select the Refresh button.. this should display all available downloads.
Note: The latest update is listed on top.
 
Step Two

  • Locate and select the download link just above the version you're running.

  • Save this download to your hard drive. (do not run at this point) see note below.
Note: We recommend that you create a folder on your hard drive called ProFrame_Updates and save all downloads in this folder. Avoid saving downloads to your desktop.
 
  • Repeat Step Two for each update listed above your current version.
At this point: You should have all updates downloaded into your ProFrame_Updates folder. If not repeat Step Two until all necessary updates are downloaded.
 
Installing Updates

  • All users should exit ProFrame. (do not install updates while others are working in ProFrame)

  • Make a backup of your ProFrame system using what ever backup system you have.
Note: Each update must be installed in sequence. Ex: Upd301b, then Upd301c, etc...
Note: Most updates are Free but some are Upgrades that you must purchase.
 

  • Exit ProFrame and EasyMenu to your desktop.

  • Using your Windows Explorer or My Computer locate the ProFrame_Updates folder.
Step Three

  • Locate the next update to install from within the ProFrame_Updates folder.

  • Double click that update. (ex: Upd301a.exe) to extract it into your ProFrame folder.

  • Minimize your Explorer (the ProFrame_Updates folder)

  • Double click the EasyMenu 3.00 icon (starts EasyMenu)

  • Highlight Install Patch, ProFrame I option and select the Run button.

  • (this should indicate a new update has been found, select Continue to install this update)

  • After update has installed, Exit EasyMenu back to your desktop.
Repeat Step Three for each update.
 
Note: If you get an Out-Of-Sequence error...
  • Then run ProFrame (Help/Product Version) and verify what version you're running.
  • Make sure you're extracting the update into the correct folder.
  • Some upgrades require a CD installation.
  • Most Upgrades must be purchased. (ex: v2.0026 must be purchased, you cannot install v2.0026a unless you're running v2.0026)
