Install Updates Guide

Step One (downloading updates)

  • From within ProFrame select Help/Product Version.
  • Record the last update version number. ex: v3.06a
  • Go to http://www.proframe1.com/support/support.htm
  • In the Update and Upgrade Section
    1. Select the Version required and Save to your hard drive.
    2. Do Not Run from current website location... see note below...
  • Note: We recommend that you create a folder called ProFrame_Updates on your hard drive or shared drive. And save all downloads in this folder so you can easily locate them. Avoid saving downloads to your desktop.
  • Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all downloads required.

Step Two (installing updates)

  • Each update must be installed in sequence of version number and letters.
    • Example: You're running v3.05b.. you must install v3.05c next, then v3.05d, then the next etc... etc...
    • Each version number may increase by one at any time, then starting with the letter "a" for each new number.
  • Make sure all users are logged off of ProFrame.
  • Make a Backup before installing any updates.
  • If running on a Server, make sure no ProFrame files are left open.
    1. Locate the next update under the ProFrame_Updates folder.
    2. Double Click it, (it may look something like PFv306a.exe)
    3. Extract the contents making sure to point to the shared ProFrame folder.
    4. Start EasyMenu v3.01
    5. Select the option Install Patch and then Run.
    6. The update will verify the correct version sequence.
    7. Continue to Install Update.
    8. After completion Exit EasyMenu v3.01
  • Repeat steps 1 - 8 until all updates have been installed.

Verify Updates

  • From Within ProFrame select Help/Product Version.
  • Verify that the latest update has been installed.
